Biography
Keith Melvin is a lifelong resident of the Greater Saint John region. Upon graduation from UNBSJ, he immediately entered the Economic Development world as a Development Officer for the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency. After various roles within ACOA, he transitioned into local economic development and became a Development Officer with Enterprise Saint John (now Envision Saint John.). There, he helped numerous entrepreneurs start new businesses and assisted existing companies expand, export, automate, transition through challenging times, and much more.
After almost 8 years with ESJ, Keith joined the Department of Energy when it moved from Fredericton to Saint John. He was one of the first Development Officers within that Department, helping energy-related companies establish, grow and expand within New Brunswick.
In November 2012, Keith assumed the role of director of the Southwest District Office with the Department of Economic Development. There, he lead a team charged with implementing the Provincial economic development mandate and strategy.
In September of 2017, Keith re-joined ACOA, where he is now the Manager of the Fundy and Southwest District Offices. There, he and his team work with companies and the entrepreneurial community to support and promote opportunities for economic development within the region.
